The day before I am the typical anxious woman…trying to get outfits together and panicked ill forget something but at the same time overwhelmed with excitement..”I am going to do a photo shoot in Vegas tomorrow!!!”

The drive there is pure exhilaration, I can’t get there fast enough. Vegas has this amazing vibe to it, as I drive in I can feel its pulse. You get the sense of all the famous talented souls that have graced each stage and glided through each casino. that this stay at home mom of 4 is going to experience this day of glamour is more than I could have dreamt off. I am grinning ear to ear and actually pinch myself, the nerves are masked by my intense excitement.

I have arrived, welcomed by an amazing team of talented like minded people…straight to hair & makeup. And to think just hours before I was making pancakes for my 5 yr old and now i am looking in the mirror at this transformed woman. There is something to be said about a make over, it isn’t just the outward transformation but the inner diva that emerged was electric. I realized half way through, I’m not pretending to be this character, I am this woman, all of her. When I allowed myself to let go I have my vixen ah ha! moment…where my inner strength prevails and reminds me I can be a super mom & wife and turn on the sex kitten side of me too. I am more than one thing…I’m a woman with many beautiful layers. This photo shoot was tangible evidence of the birth of Alexis Jakobs but she’s always been inside of me and portrayed within my passion of life and love. I felt empowered, like i had given myself permission to embrace every facet of my femininity with pride and conviction.
